The strike will begin Monday, July 14 and end Friday, July 18. SX Bargaining has been deadlocked since May. UC's offer is disrespectful, and does nothing to lift our families out of poverty: -No guaranteed wage increases: 0% guaranteed raises for most service workers & wage re-openers every year tied to state funding -Fake merit based steps that don't give any credit for experience/seniority or any way to move to the next step -$11.50/hour minimum wage for most Service Workers -No guarantees on benefits or parking. UC will try to stop our Service Workers Strike by calling it illegal, but they cannot take away our fundamental right to strike! While this is not a Patient Care Unit Strike, Patient Care workers have the legal right to honor the Service Workers picket line by not crossing, based on individual conscience.
